Peace symbol (Let´s move on...)





Peace Symbol

This Peace symbol is one of the most recognized symbols around the world.Its history begins in Britain, where it was designed by Gerald Holdom on February 21, 1958 to be used as a symbol against nuclear arms.

1. Hapiness is when what you think , what you say and what you do are in harmony (Gandhi).

We have learnt about the Salt March a non violent protest organized by Mahatma Gandhi. This event later became a turning point in the history of the India. If you want try listening to this story again at home at least two times so that you can familiarize with english sounds and pick up more words and even sentencesThe more you listen to the more you will understand it!!

Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, in Mingora, Pakistan.As a child, she became advocate for girls´education, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school.She survived, and has continued to speak out about her right and the right of all women to education.In 2013 she was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. In 2014, she was nominated again and won, becaming the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize

Mother Teresa of Calcutta: The Nobel Peace Prize 1979

In 3th B degree students have watched a video clip of Mother Teresa receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, medal and diploma during the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony.She was awarded by her work with the poorest and sick people in Calcutta (India),After that we have worked her image as well as one of her most important quotes:"The peace begins with a smile"
